Age UK, Somerset has a Falls Prevention team that offers specially developed classes to help older people improve their strength and balance.
Get Strong Get Steady classes are gentle exercise classes created to help participants gradually build their strength, stamina and balance to progress from seated to standing exercises. This is the perfect precursor to the next level ... Stay Strong Stay Steady.
Stay Strong Stay Steady classes help strengthen lower body muscles, improve balance and increase confidence in moving around and are based on the Otago Exercise Programme, clinically proven to help reduce the risk of falls.

As an Otago Exercise Instructor for Age UK, Somerset, I currently deliver Stay Strong, Stay Steady sessions at Oakhill Village Hall & Wells Town Hall.
